“older than” The comparison clue that orders ages — and the one that most often gets mixed up with lineup position. “younger than” The mirror of "older than" — same chain, opposite direction. “next to” Does "next to" mean left or right? Neither — and that is exactly the point. “left of” A direction clue that fixes order — but not distance. "Somewhere to the left" is not "immediately to the left". “right of” The mirror of "left of" — same rules, flipped side. “before” Sequence, not position — unless the board draws the sequence as a row.
