Hints

Hints unlock one at a time: open Hint 1, and only then does Hint 2 appear. Stop the moment the case clicks.

Hint 1 Tap to reveal

One resident is fixed at the very start. Keep that as your anchor and don't overwrite it.

Hint 2 Tap to reveal

Use the size clue next: the middle island is smaller than the other two, so that island is Medium. Then use the landmark options to put the Lighthouse on the first island.

Hint 3 Tap to reveal

The Chapel clue works by exclusion: Artist and Crabs are not on the Chapel island, so only the remaining island can take it. After that, the leftover resident and landmark finish the grid.

Video walkthrough

Watch the full solve: the board, the clue cards, and every placement in order — each step below is anchored to the moment it happens in the run.

  1. 1 Artist is on A 0:00 – 0:07

Lock down Island A's resident from the preset icon.

Check that Island A's Inhabitant cell is already set to the Artist palette icon, and keep it as the first fixed resident.

  2. 2 B is Medium; A gets the Lighthouse 0:07 – 0:11

Set B's size from the size clue and place A's landmark.

Drag the Medium card to Island B's Size cell, then drag the Lighthouse card to Island A's Landmark cell.

  3. 3 B gets the Chapel; A and C become Large 0:11 – 0:17

Resolve B's landmark from the negative clue, then fill the remaining sizes.

Drag the Chapel card to Island B's Landmark cell, drag Large to Island A's Size cell, and drag Large to Island C's Size cell.

  4. 4 Diver is on B 0:17 – 0:21

Fill B's resident from the newly available candidate.

Drag the Diver card to Island B's Inhabitant cell.

  5. 5 Crabs and Cave finish the grid 0:21 – 0:26

Complete the last island by leftover resident and landmark.

Drag Crabs to Island C's Inhabitant cell and Cave to Island C's Landmark cell; all nine cells are filled, the clue counter reaches 5/5, and all clues turn green.

Trickiest clues

Reading 'middle' as a general size label

The clue says the middle island is smaller than the other two, which points to Island B in the center of the grid, not to a random Medium slot. If you try to put Medium on A or C first, the preset Artist and the later Chapel clue will fight you. Set B to Medium first, then fill A and C as Large.

Using the Chapel clue backwards

'Artist and Crabs are not seen on the Chapel island' is an exclusion, not a direction to place the Chapel on A or C. Because A is Artist and C ends up as Crabs, the Chapel is forced onto B. Treat every negative clue as a way to eliminate cells, and the last landmark becomes obvious.

Final check

This level rewards trusting the preset: the Artist is given, so the other clues become easier to anchor around it. The key move is reading the Chapel clue as exclusion, not as direct placement. Once B gets Chapel, B's Diver follows by elimination, and the final Crabs and Cave are just the leftovers. Keep the fixed hook in mind and use negative clues one at a time; every cell turns green.
