Set A's lighting color.
The leftmost Pod A holds the Human and glows Cyan; moonlight lights Pod B (Amber); the leftover Violet goes to C.

Place the temperatures.
Hot is right of the average (Warm) pod, so B = Hot and A = Warm; with Warm and Cold not neighbors, C = Cold.

Swapping the Alien and the Vampire
The Alien is in a pod LEFT of the Vampire — B = Alien and C = Vampire. Putting the Vampire at B makes the Alien right of it, breaking the clue.
Putting Warm next to Cold
Warm and Cold pods are not neighbors. With Warm at A and Cold at C they stay separated; placing Cold at B makes it adjacent to Warm and breaks the clue.
Confusing the Cracked and Dirty pods
The Cracked pod is BESIDE the one that needs cleaning — B = Cracked and A = Dirty. Assigning Cracked to A (beside nothing) leaves the cleaning clue unsatisfied.
