Fill in the two cells that the opening clues directly give: Bird B's type and Bird C's resting spot.
Drag the Seagull card to Bird B's Type cell, and drag the Water card to Bird C's Resting Spot cell.

Set Bird A's type as Flamingo and its favorite food as Shrimp/Plankton.
Drag the Flamingo card to Bird A's Type cell, and drag the Shrimp/Plankton card to Bird A's Favorite Food cell.

Use the junk-food neighbor clue to place the two junk-food meals on the adjacent birds.

Identify Bird C's type by using the pelican's distance clue.
Drag the Pelican card to Bird C's Type cell.

Fill the final two resting spots to complete the grid.
Drag the Sand card to Bird A's Resting Spot cell, drag the Rock card to Bird B's Resting Spot cell. When all cells are filled, the completion screen appears.

Because the flamingo clue locks Bird A to shrimp/plankton, the 'junk-food neighbors' can't be A and B. Place A's food first, then put fries and crab/pizza on the adjacent B and C.
The pelican's rock clue
The clue says the pelican rests closer to the Rock than to the Sand, not that it rests on the Rock. Use it to match Bird C's water spot to the pelican, then finish the remaining resting spots.

Start with the guaranteed cells and let each clue narrow the next choice. The flamingo clue sets the menu for A, which forces the junk-food neighbors to be B and C. Then the pelican's distance clue resolves the type and the final resting spots fall into place.
