The student with an A+ does not depict living subjects — A = Waves (non-living) / A+. Giving A+ to the Mother or Night Sky painting breaks the clue.
Moving Laura away from Class B
Laura feels so Tired after going all out on her painting and Class B is her class — B = Laura + Diana / Tired. Moving Laura breaks both clues.
Putting Mother to the right of Night Sky
The Mother painting is to the left of the Van Gogh-like painting — B = Mother, C = Night Sky. Swapping them breaks the clue.
Giving Billy an emotional expression
Billy thinks the grade he gets is a given, so he has no reaction — A = Billy / Neutral. Giving Billy Teary Eyes or another emotion breaks the clue.
