Brazil is Climber C; the climbers two columns away are A and E, so their altitudes are below 5000 m.

Fix Climber B and Climber E altitudes with the double clue.
Among 3200/4100/5600/6800/8150, only 8150 is nearly twice 4100, so Charlotte = 8150 and Rina = 4100; combined with step 1, Rina is Climber E.

Putting Charlotte or Rina in the wrong column
The almost-twice clue pairs 8150 with 4100, but only Rina is known to be at 4100 — Charlotte must be Climber B (8150) and Rina Climber E (4100), matching the below-5000m rule for E. Swapping them breaks both the altitude and the gender-neighbor layout.
Giving a male climber the Map
Male climbers refuse to bring a Map and rely on the stars. The Map/Compass belongs to Climber D (Yuki, female); assigning it to Tom/Pete or Kael will collide with the gender clues and the equipment-between-Russia-and-Oil-Lamp rule.
Forgetting the second Mustard jacket
More than one climber wears a Mustard-colored jacket — that refers to Climber C (Tom and Pete share the jacket). Treating Mustard as a single-cell color leaves the jacket column incomplete and the grid cannot verify.
